The O’Paraiso—a 29-day 867km journey from Saint-Jean-Peid-de-Port, France to Finisterre, Spain via Pamplona, Logrono, Burgos, Leon and Santiago de Compostela— and the O’Duro—a 13-day 325km journey from Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela via Lugo—are physical walking journeys in space over time. During the two journeys across northern Spain on the Camino de Santiago—first on the Camino Frances, the second on Camino Primitivo—we tested our physical, mental and emotional endurance while creating a rich backdrop of thought and results.
Journey data, visual documentation, written impressions, networks, and experiences have been documented in two-part artist books including text, images, maps and walked lines over landscape.
